According to rumors circulating widely on the Internet, OnePlus is in the process of developing a new connected watch. After releasing two models, the next OnePlus Watch 2 will literally be different from the others thanks to its Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor.
It is thanks to the association of OnLeaks and MySmartPrice that a first preview of the OnePlus Watch 2 could be established. It succeeds OnePlus’ first smartwatch, released at the beginning of 2021. Here’s what it is.
The OnePlus Watch 2 and its new Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor
Since its creation and its entry into the connected objects market, OnePlus has marketed various products. Among these are smartphones and headphones. But it is only in end of year 2022 that the brand releases Nord Watch. After this model, the OnePlus Watch arrived. Unfortunately, none of the sources revealed when OnePlus will officially release its third smartwatch. Although MySmartPrice claims that its operation will always be based on a real-time operating system (RTOS) rather than Wear OS. These are not real statements.
It goes without saying that lots of mystery still surround the release of the Watch 2 from OnePlus. THE price of this novelty also remains unknown, For now. And it is difficult to know in which countries this product will be available. However, many sources confirm that this connected watch will work using of a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip. This is a chipset that already equips the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro and the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 5.

As a reminder, Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 series more than a year ago. However, the brand has decided not to offer newer alternatives since. Therefore, the brand OnePlus is also riding on success already proven of this technology so that their next connected watches are at the top.
Other improvements planned for the new OnePlus Watch
If it is expected that the new OnePlus Watch 2 smartwatch would have a new processor, the same is true of its screen. The Watch will therefore be entitled to a screen 1.43-inch AMOLED. This is an element that is significantly larger than that of the original model which was only 1.39 inches.
This new screen size also corresponds to that of the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro. Which may suggest that the visual changes made by OnePlus between the Watch and the Watch 2 are the same. And it is very easy to say that the latter looks more like a connected watch made by Xiaomi. But OnePlus has more than one card in hand.
In terms of designthe new OnePlus Watch 2 will feature a more angular style. Note that its predecessor relied on curved lines. Next, it looks like the Watch 2 has two physical buttons which protrude from its right sidebut no digital crown in view or any other input method.
